COVID-19 has been shown to disproportionately affect minority communities including health workers of minority origin. Moreover, anecdotal evidence suggests that migrant workers and those who seek to immigrate face additional barriers and hardships than their counterpart resident workers. The proposed project will explore the effect of the pandemic on South Asian health workers and investigate any disparities based on their immigration status. We will specifically study H1B visa holders of South Asian origin and a matched cohort of permanent residents of same origin.
